Bill Withers (born July 04, 1938, fork of slab, West Virginia) is an American performed and recorded in the 1960s through the 1980s.

His father died when he was thirteen. He joined the u.s. Army and Navy at 17, nine years before vines moved to Los Angeles in 1967 in Los Angeles. He worked in a factory Lockheed Assembly in days.
